I spend a lot of time looking as the SEO scene including forums and boards and do manage to pick up some worthwhile tips on my surfing travels, so its makes sense to pass them onto yourselves. just to make clear that I like grey and whitehat I dont really have time for blackhat so the general theme is SEO and specifically increasing traffic. At the end of the day you can have a beautiful site design and brilliant content but if you have not traffic then whats the point?

A few days ago we finally found a quick and easy way of getting your site indexed in less than A COUPLE OF DAYS.

STEP 1 # Type in your domain on www.aboutus.org/YOURDOMAIN.COM ( include the trailing slash after .org/ )

remember that you have to have a real title, meta description and keywords for the site to automatically included. Aboutus.org will then make an auto article on the new site and bang you get indexed.

STEP 2 # Do the same thing but  type in www.whois.domaintools.com/YOURDOMAIN.COM ( I know this sounds obvious but replace YOURDOMAIN.COM with your own domain )

STEP 3 # www.cubestat.com/YOURDOMAIN.COM for some reason putting you site here after step 1 and 2 quickens the process up.

STEP 4 # Goto alexa.com and put your domain in the top search bar for indexing.

I know this sounds so obvious its stupid, but trust me it works quickly and effectively. Give it a try on some new sites and perhaps make a comment and leave some feedback on the tip

Internal SEO is the first port of call and you should always take care of it after the main content of the site has been added. believe me that people actually submit there sites to google straight after they have registered the domain

Most people do the basics: add the keywords to the meta description, meta keywords and website info settings. DO people forget to add H1 or H2 markup in the main body? if not, get on an add the markup and if should pay dividends in the long term.

Do you include your keywords in alt image tags? Is a brilliant way of giving your site more weight in google. you don’t even have to attach a jpeg. example, say your keyword is “make money online” then use this code in the main body; <img src=”logo.gif” width=”200″ height=”75″ alt=”make money online”>  This is easy stuff to miss but time and time people miss the easy tricks to get one over the competition. Another way to give weight to your keyword is adding a simple “comment” tag on your site, example; <!– make money online –> again it always is a good idea to add these simple tags to your sites to increase the importance to you are placing on them when you submit your finished site to google. A slight after though but if you add the comments and image alt tag to your site its always a good idea to add slightly more content ( text ), to your main body.

Give it a go and i am sure you will see some improved results. Remember more traffic equals more money.

What variables make up this elite band of bloggers and why is it so important to be one in the first place. First off it must must readership?? Say Dailyblogtips.com has 10000 readership and John chow has only 7500 is DBT ( daily blog tips ) an a-list and John chow is a b-list? or maybe problogger has 40000 backlinks and www.shoemoney.com has only 15000 backlinks for a term such as “blogging tips”. Like everything is comes down to traffic. Goto alexa.com and check out who the a-listers are via their traffic rankings. Its more than just plain ol traffic but “directed traffic” and only these guys know what sort of real traffic they are getting. If person a does a search on google  for gaming and is looking for a playstation only to find that hes Jumped on a nintendo gaming site then he will not stay for a moment. This could be said for blogging sites.  Most of the big A-listers use the same old keywords such a “make money online” etc which is an  extremely general term. So when you search for such terms and the user is looking for something specific and jumps on a blogging site he may hit “gold” and the site is the one he is looking for, however such general terms do not represent to specific blog sites so he may have to click on a number of blogs just to find what he is looking for.

To sum up: its content as usual which in turn makes the traffic - A List bloggers are true communicators and have the skills to know what their users are looking for and have to grab their attention in less than 5 seconds, otherwise its just traffic and nothing else. When you next build a site or perhaps build a blog make sure the content is relevant to the user and not just to you.

The experiment will last for beween 4-6 months and then i will go on to sell the site

Okay I have my domain name, now for a simple blog upload via wordpress , do a famous 5 minute install and away i go. I will go with box tube wordpress theme as its clean and simple and they always update it everynow and then.

1. Sitemap submission - yahoo and google. I typically use a free sitemap genorator called  http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/. Its a good tool - after i have submitted both the sites to yahoo and google and put them in my google webmaster tools I then wait a few days.

2. I log into webmaster tools and check if any “keywords” have appeared in the statistical part of webmaster tools.  If any interesting keywords have appeared i go to the next step.

3. Take the keywords that you have and do a quick check in google for the competitive keyword. and then goto https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal and again check for alternative and better related keywords.

4. you have grabbed a keyword ( it may be 500 or so on google rankings ). To make the keyword “stronger” go back to on site seo and play with the keywords you have and include them in the content. Include them in the meta tags and description and include a H2 tag and H1.

5. resubmit and wait for a few more days and log onto webmaster tools to see the increase.

6. Its working, great! take a free directory submission, or paid on ( i use IBP ) and then submit your keyword as an anchor tag ie: blog tips . You will notice a marked change in the rankings over a period of 2-3 weeks.

Its important not to tweak the “keyword content” on your site too much - but over that initial 2 -3 weeks you will start to see other prime keywords in webmaster tools and then you just have to go back to step 3 to 5. Dont keyword stuff and include the keywords a hundred times as google does not like it and you will suffer a traffic decrease. But if your lazy like me, this is a sure way of getting your rankings and traffic up.

A lot of  seo is the down to common sense and if google is going to find your site then it will look at your anchor tags on other sites and relate its importance to your url and “on site” seo to work out where your site should be place on google rankings. It obvious as I said but your will be surprised at how many people miss this and  just submit their sites in the worst way imagined
