Blogging is just not about expressing your thoughts and opinions, if you are serious enough then, one can really make money from blogs. All you need is a bit of common sense and a passion for writing. There is sea of blogs available but only a few is read and respected. However, the best way to monetize your blog is to use it to get visibility.
Do you own a website; are you a flouriest, a photographer, just a person of general business? Did you know that you could expand the amount of your consumers just simply by having a SEO? What is an SEO you say; why it’s a search engine optimizer, or the process of improving the amount of traffic to your website. Now why on earth would that be important? Sure you have a broad amount of consumers who take part in your business, but are they really enough, why not attract more? Do you really believe that your current advertising has reached out to enough potential consumers? Have you considered that there are people out there who have absolutely no idea about your business what so ever? Not everyone reads the back of the Penny Saver you know. So how about giving those search engines a try, this is one thing that everyone uses you don’t have to feel guilty about.
Google is by far the most popular search engine on the internet, and knowing this should persuade most to use Google Adsense. Google Adsense generates advertisements comparable to your sites content. When visitors click on those advertisements, you earn money. It’s very easy to undertake, just go to Google.com/Adsense and sign up. You will be required to provide your websites address, and some personal and financial account information as well. Once you are set up, not only will you earn money but seeing as the advertisements are related to your content, but it will also enhance your website, both beneficial.
Another way to get money from your blog is to use Google Adwords; a service that allows you to advertise your own ads on the Google by pay per click advertising. Advertisers only pay when visitors click on their ads to visit the advertiser’s website, they then bid on keywords that they think will target consumers when they are looking for a product or service. Popular search terms tend to cost more on popular search engines such as Google. The orders in which paid ads are listed are based on the advertisers “quality score” of their ads. Quality score is analyzed by the history of click rates and the relevance the advertiser’s key words determined by Google. All ads dispersed to Adwords are eligible to be shown on Google. Advertisers also have the option of sanctioning their ads on partner networks of Google, at long last expanding their horizon.
Again, if your blog is focussed on a particular niche, there are several companies that would like to post their products or services on your blog and give a link to their website. You can earn money per post on your blog. There can be another option known as content syndication. This implies that if you become a specialist on any particular topic, there can be people who would want to use your content so that it brings the companies advertisements and subsequently the companies can share their revenue with you.
Venture capital funding, paid subscriptions, donations and even selling your blog are the other options that can be worked out from blogging.

This is a very interesting post. Normally blogs are associated with impromptu expressions written electronically rather than on diary. It is quite new to know that such electronic diaries could be monetized in so many ways. Interesting reading.

I did have a blog but I’ve recently given in. It was not getting the visitors I hoped for and the income was next to nothing from it. Real shame after all the hard work I had put in!
